Lucky one of us was paying attention. That anomalous reading turned out to be a discarded O2 canister pack. I can only assume it fell from a passing ATV or ECO vehicle.

Of course it could have been left there as a trap by Pirates, but I figured I'd not worry you about that unless it did in fact turn out to be a trap.

Fang Lemon, eh? Shadowfang*, I presume? And Lemon... well, at least it's not another berry flavor.

Haven't ran into any others yet. You guys seen more? (I want Mint and Cinnamon... ) Any idea when they were implemented?

*Edit: By which I mean Sidewinder Fang, of course. Shadowfang is from a different game I play... *

Now that I'm off planet and able to look, yes, they have the same requirements/benefits as the Rexx flavors.

Captain Level : 15
Oxygen: 50 units
Efficiency Bonus : 6%

And for the curious, yes, I'm still finding the Rexx flavors on planets as well. I have not yet found a Fang flavor on a derelict, but I assume they're findable there as well. Can someone confirm?

Haven't find fangs on derelitct too. I found three Fang tastes so far. However Rexx claims Fangs are awful.

We know for a start that nothing can be worse than Rexx's O2 bottles, mainly because they're Rexx's :p
I imagine the Fang series are brought on by Sidewinder Fang?

Well, they're certainly more rare than the Rexx flavors. I'm still finding Rexx flavors far more often, even on planets. Which is a shame, as the Fang flavors don't have that odd aftertaste of coconut oil and cologne you get from the Rexx ones.

I'm getting the distinct impression that you can only find them while exploring planets, not derelicts. Having only recently returned to planetary exploration (as I just got my UPV a week or so ago) after not being able to explore ever since the new changes went into effect, I don't know how long the Fang's have been around. It's possible they were implemented along with the new UPV-based system.
